Saks OFF 5TH Opens at Pickering Town Centre

On March 9th, Pickering Town Centre welcomed the very first Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH to East GTA. The new 30,000 sq ft storSaks OFF 5TH Ribbon cuttinge is part of a major redevelopment of the centre’s 140,000 sq ft west wing. The closure of Target Canada, a former anchor retailer, created an opportunity to redevelop the space with major retail brands not currently offered at competing shopping destinations. Three prominent retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Farmboy (Fall 2016) and Cineplex Cinemas Pickering (Fall 2017) were secured, allowing the west wing to transform into a refreshed and compelling shopping destination.

Saks Fifth Avenue is an American luxury department store recently bought by Canadian department store giant, the Hudson’s Bay Company. Saks OFF 5TH is the outlet store version of the luxury store, offering sales of up to 70% off. Saks, with both its fifth Avenue and OFF 5TH concepts, currently has 11 stores across Canada.
